Who is the KCSSL? The KCSSL (Kansas City Suburban Soccer League) is a MYSA member league comprised of Blue Springs Soccer Club, Soccer West Soccer Club, Harrisonville Soccer Club, FC Southland, and the Pleasant HillSoccer Association. This league believes that all players should have a place to play, no matter what their abilities are. Many players/teams come from a "recreational club", and as they develop, want and need a league to play through which will allow them the opportunity to grow and improve. This league supports those recreational teams, and gives them the opportunityto "share-play" or compete against teams at different field locations of their same competition level. This encompasses all levels, from C (rec.) thru B (developmental and above) and A (competitive). What this simply means is that every level of play needs to be supported so that all levels can succeed. This is the "hand in hand" attitude that grows our youth and the sport.
This then, is our VISION of Youth Soccer in the Kansas City Suburban area- a league that players can begin in at the recreational level, grow and progress into the competitive level, and ultimately compete at the Premier level. A league that encourages FAIR PLAY and SPORTSMANSHIP. A league where any team can compete, no matter what the level. A league that the player/teams can progress and succeed in. We strive to provide the best overall experience a player/team can have, and will continue to. A commitment among all member clubs to provide quality, consistent referees, coaches training and knowledge, and player developmental programs are just some of the ways to accomplish this. Teams/Coaches are encouraged to share ideas and issues. Be a part of something great. Let's make this sport stronger and bigger every day. Let's always strive to improve.
Look, over there! See that group of kids, kicking the ball around? They may be our future stars, just looking for the chance to "make it happen"! Let's continue to give them that chance. See ya on the pitch!
